WINSTON COUNTY – The Industrial Development Authority of Winston County, Alabama, Inc. has been awarded a $1,100 grant by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to support its business expansion and retention program.   Specifically, the grant was awarded to help reduce the costs associated with the purchase of the Synchronist business information system, a comprehensive system for collecting, storing and analyzing economic data to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and much more in support of business retention, expansion and recruiting.

The grant is one of several awarded this year by TVA to north Alabama communities to help communities promote economic development, and business retention and expansion.
