WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) announced that Winston County will receive $95,000 for the Winston County Industrial Park road improvement project from the Fiscal Year 2009 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill. The funding is included in the Omnibus Appropriations legislation that passed Congress on Tuesday evening.

The funding will be used to provide roadway improvements for the foundation base and pavement for the Winston County Industrial Park roads.

“This is a big win for our community,” said Congressman Aderholt. “Economic development is so important for our area to make sure we have good and stable jobs. Ensuring infrastructure for this industrial park will bring more business to Winston County.”

The FY2009 Transportation, HUD and Related Agencies Appropriations bill provides funding for several departments including the U.S. Department of Transportation and HUD.
